prince2, project management, training
I guess it’s a good question when people ask “what makes you qualified” to provide your Project Rescue Service over any one else. Well that is a good point – however you could ask that about any individual, or company providing any service.
What we do have is over 13 years experience with business startups with projects ranging from £5,000 to £15m – we’ve seen our fair share of failures, and our fair share of success – just because somebody has the worlds next big idea – doesn’t mean it will be a success. You have other things to contend with such as better funded competition putting the squeeze on you, u-turns in decision making and lack of control.
But – moving back onto the original subject – to give our “Project Rescue” service more weight – we’re going for Prince2 accreditation Jon Webb to become accredited as a Prince2 Practitioner.
Firefly Creative needed to refresh the existing “news” section on their website, making it more dynamic allowing them to add pictures, photo’s and to enhance the way in which the publish their press releases.
We gave them a helping hand by installing a fully customised Blog in place of their existing news section and helped them transfer their existing news and press releases across to the new system.
Firefly are now able to enjoy feature rich blogging through the installation and total branding of our Wordpress Content Management Services

Accord Financial Management Ltd approached us to rapidly design and develop a quick online annuity portal site so that they could benefit from an ever growing Annuity investment market.
Accord needed full control over their website content, on a tight budget, and quick. We delivered the website from start to finish in under 2 days – and that included developing a custom wordpress plugin to allow them to track all their affiliate website which would link to annuities4you.

food for thought, Mishaps
It is amazing how many online services such as confused.com still do not enforce adequate password policies, I was amazed to see that when I came to finally using confused.com and entering my user profile details that I was not allowed to have a password which included special characters such as ^,&,or *, and I was not allowed to use any numbers.
Why is this a “bad thing”TM ? Generally people use straight forward words such as “worthing”, “scrabble” or “letmein” (you get the idea).
All these sorts of words are not just easily guessable, but many freely available password guessing tools can guess these combinations in seconds.

Confused.com Password Strength Analysis
A point in case – we recently performed technical due-diligence on an existing web application and found that all the customer passwords were held unencrypted, along with the customers email addresses. Just think how much damage could be done if somebody with your email address and password could do by accessing services like your online car insurance, internet banking and other online services.
Food for thought.
